Films
In cooperation with a.o. Dutch broadcasting company VPRO, the IABR (co)produces documentaries about the city. Presently, more than 50 percent of the world population is living in cities—many of them in slums—and cities are continuing to grow. What factors define the quality of life in cities? How does urban life take shape and how can we improve it?
During the Biënnale, the IABR shows films and documentaries about the city, in cooperation with the International Film and Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) and Lantaren/Venster in Rotterdam. For more information on this, please check the 4th IABR website and the archive on this website.
On this page, you will find information on the films that were (co)produced by the IABR. The films I am Gurgaon, Grand Paris, the President and the Architect, Stayin' Alive in Jo'burg, and New to the City are made available for free by the VPRO and can be downloaded from their website.
